I agree that a 90kph speed limit on narrow country roads is too high but an 80kph limit on major roads is too low.
Excessive speed is a contributory factor in causing accidents but I believe the majority are due to a lack of concentration, including the use of mobile devices at the wheel, and drivers performing dangerous and reckless manoeuvres.
