We explain who will receive it and when

France begins its vaccination campaign against Covid-19 on Sunday (December 27), with a few dozen residents of retirement homes to be the first recipients.
Health Minister Olivier Véran said, “it will start in a small number of establishments for the elderly, in the Paris region and in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, and will gradually be extended to the whole of France in January”.

The first vaccination to be used will be the BioNTech/Pfizer one, which was approved by the European Medicines Agency on December 21.
