'Fast crêperie' takes on McDo
'Breton fastfood' competing with McDonald's burgers with crêpes
A RESTAURANT claiming to be France's first "Breton fastfood" outlet is hoping to compete with McDonald's burgers with crêpes.
Roule Galette, which calls itself a "fast crêperie", recently opened its third Paris branch, and has set an objective of 20 franchised branches by the end of the year.
It serves buckwheat galettes and wheat flour crêpes, in flavours such as ham and sausage or banana and chocolate.
The firm says its outlets have a "friendly modern" look, "a complete break from the traditional crêperie".
