Free paper bills for mobiles
Mobile phone users on monthly payment contracts will be able to ask to get a free paper copy of their bill.
MOBILE phone users on monthly payment contracts will be able to ask to get a paper copy of their bill as well as the online version at no extra cost under changes to consumer law.
Low-cost contracts only offer electronic bills but the four leading lowcost brands – Sosh from Orange, SFR’s Red, B&You and Free mobile – refer to the possibility of paper bills in their terms and conditions. However, it is not well-publicised and most have restrictions on usage as paper-free bills allow them to cut costs.
The request for a paper bill can be made at any time and by any normal contact method.
