Hop! flight disruption at Rennes and Pau

Strike action for two days will cause delays and cancellations

Published Modified

Hop! passengers have been told to expect cancellations and disruption to flights at Rennes, Pau and other destinations on Friday and Saturday, with hostesses and stewards out on strike.

On its website, Rennes airport advises passengers to check with the airline or their travel company before setting off to the airport.

In a statement the airline, a subsidiary of Air France, said that "85% of the flights will be guaranteed on Friday," adding that only "flights made with regional aircraft are likely to be disrupted for these two days".

The Hop! employees have been called out on strike by their three representative unions, which are demanding guarantees over their employment within the Air France group.

"The management of Hop deplores the carrying out of this strike, which is penalizing the company's customers during this school holiday period," the company added.

Hop! has around 100 planes and provides 600 daily flights to 50 stopovers in France and Europe.
