Air Force called in to intercept business jet pilot, who had no idea major UN summit was taking place
A Belgian private jet was intercepted by the French Air Force after its pilot tried landing at Le Bourget, near Paris, unaware that a major UN climate change summit was taking place there.
The small Cessna had taken off from Antwerp in northern Belgium and entered restricted airspace near the French capital. The French Air Force scrambled a Rafale fighter jet to escort the jet to another nearby airfield.
Le Bourget has been under heightened security since late November when the COP21 climate summit, bringing together heads of state from around the world, got under way.

Breaching restricted airspace can carry up to six months in prison and a €15,000 fine, but on this occasion no charges will be brought.
