Last chance to join Millau challenge
Registration for the race closes on Friday, May 18
Friday, May 18, is the last day to sign up and join thousands of other runners in this year's Millau Viaduct race.
But it is not for the faint-hearted. The viaduct section - along the highest road bridge in the world - is about 5km, but it makes up just part of the 24km race, which starts on the banks of the River Tarn on the valley floor, some 300m below the bridge.
Poland's Henryk Szost, Spain's Camilo Raúl Santiago Jimenez and Belgian Florent Caelen line-up alongside French runners Romain Courcières and Freddy Guimard in the men's elite race, while French marathon champion Corinne Herbreteau will head the women's elite field on Sunday, May 27.
