Macron’s tree dies on White House lawn
A ceremonial oak given to President Trump by Emmanuel Macron has died a year after the pair planted it on the White House lawn.
The tree was “a reminder” of the ties binding the US and France 100 years after US troops fought in the First World War. Mr Macron said a new tree would be sent.
