AMERICAN food giant Mars is recalling milk drinks sold in France, as well as Germany and Holland, because of the possible presence of a dangerous bacteria.
The following “sport cap” bottles have been withdrawn:

Snickers Shake (350, 376 ml)

Galaxy Smooth Milk (350, 376 ml)
Milky Way Milk (350 ml)
Mars Caramel Milk (350ml)
Skittles Fruits Drink (350, 376ml)
Mars has also recalled its 750ml ‘fridge pack bottles of Mars Milk, Galaxy Smooth Milk and Skittles Fruits drink.
The recall affects bottles with a best-before date between December 19, 2014, and April 11, 2015.
It was issued because the presence of the potentially pathogenic bacillus bacterium was detected in tests.
“We decided to withdraw from the sale of these products as a precaution, because their consumption could cause health risks,” Mars said in a statement. It urged anyone who may have bottles of the drink that may be affected not to consume them, and to contact customer services in France on 09 69 32 06 80, or complete the online contact form.
The bacterium can cause food poisoning in some cases.
