Nimbys would keep us all in the dark

Wind turbines are a hedge against rising power prices, which will continue forever.

Wind power, all around the world it is being harness to provide power. Governments are setting targets. I have a small wind turbine, my last bill from EDF was €10.

Wind turbines are a hedge against rising power prices, which will continue forever. I’ve just finished producing a report on wind turbines, the siting, use, construction etc for a blue chip company in the Middle East who wish to produce and sell them.
I hope the people in power in France wake up and kick the Nimby types into touch.

It's amazing the Nimby clique. They do not like it, no rational thinking, like spoiled children. Mr Bruguier has made some very rash statements, showing how little he knows about wind power. Wind turbines only work a fifth of their time – strange, if the wind blows 24 hours a day they will work.

Why should it be difficult to find off shore sites? They go and use shipping and fishings as an excuse.
Houses less than 3km to a wind turbine will not sell? – that means whole communes are unsellable.

The new planning permission requirements are being set up to stop renewable energy being made available to the masses. They will be run by the uneducated unknowing types who look after planning. Some could not plan their way out of a paper bag.

Thankfully when electricity, the motor car, airplanes, x-ray machines, ether, penicillin, etc, were being introduced to the world these Nimby types were not about.

Otherwise we would be in the dark ages still, with stone implements.
