Sarkozy and Carla appear in Simpsons
Yellow version of the president and first lady make an unofficial appearance in the long-running US cartoon series
CARLA Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy have made an unofficial cameo appearance in The Simpsons.
Yellow caricatures of the president and first lady star in an episode called The Devil Wears Nada which made its TV debut in the US last week.
In the cartoon, Homer and Carl are on a trip to Paris and meet Carla at a posh reception in the Elysée Palace.
In a later scene, Homer calls Sarkozy directly on his mobile. The president is tucking into a camembert in his office, with his wife by his side enjoying a glass of red wine.
The couple, who are said to have not been approached about the satirical appearance beforehand, join other famous figures including Bill Gates, Tony Blair and Michael Jackson to get the Simpsons treatment.
