Sports stars strip off for calendar
French scrumhalf bares all for Stade Français money-spinner as it marks 15 years of naked envy
FRENCH scrumhalf Morgan Parra has received the ultimate hunk accolade in baring all for the front cover of the celebrated 2015 Dieux du Stade calendar.
Selling 1.5million copies over its 15-year history, the calendar is a massive money-spinner for Paris rugby club Stade Français and has featured around 350 different sports stars in the buff in its 15-year history.
Parra, who plays for Clermont-Ferrand, is joined by fellow rugby stars including Pascal Papé, Hugo Bonneval and Jules Plisson from Stade Français but the calendar also features stars from other sports including French footballer Djibril Cissé, judoka Loïc Piétri and handball internationals William Accambray and Nikola and Luka Karabatic.
The sportsmen were filmed while posing for the photo shoot with photographer Fred Goudon for a special television program made for pay-TV Canal+. You can get a free taster for the calendar on the channel’s website here. A DVD of the shoot will also go on sale later.
Proceeds from the sale of this year’s calendar are shared between the rugby club and breast cancer charity Le Cancer du Sein, Parlons-En ! in a bid to highlight the fact that men can also suffer from breast cancer.
With 40 quality black and white photographs, the 31x42.6cm calendar goes on sale at the Stade Français online boutique on October 2.
