Strike: More disruption in France ahead of PM speech
Transport disruption is continuing across France today (December 11) as strikes against pension reform continue, ahead of the Prime Minister’s speech on the issue expected at around midday today.
TGVs and trains
One TGV in four is running, as are 30% of TER services, and 20% of Transilien trains, SNCF has confirmed. A quarter of Intercités trains are running, on average.
More than three quarters (77.3%) of train drivers and more than half of ticket controllers (55.4%) continue to strike, as they did on Monday this week, management has said.
RATP buses
In the capital, buses run by RATP continue to experience disruption. The metro system is also disrupted, with 10 lines closed and only half of trains running on others, including the RER A an RER B.
The 1 and 14 lines are running normally, including the Orlyval shuttle to Orly airport.
