The product should be taken back to the shop where a refund will be issued
Duck foie gras from the Feyel brand is being recalled across France because of an issue relating to the smell of the product.
Government alert site Rappel Conso states that the foie gras was:

The product was sold by shops including Leclerc, Intermarché, Système U, Auchan, Cora, Casino, Transgourmet, Carrefour and Spar.
Customers can take the foie gras back to the shop where they bought it for a refund.
This recall procedure will come to an end on January 13.

Another foie gras recall
This comes as another duck foie gras becomes the subject of another alert as the result of a labelling error which puts the use-by date at February 28, 2022 rather than February 28, 2023.
This foie gras is also from the Feyel brand and it was sold between November 29 and December 9 in Haut-Rhin.
This recall will come to an end tomorrow (December 20).
Customers having bought the product should note that it can be consumed until February 28, 2023.
