Watch 24 hours of ocean projects
Musée Nausicaä holds an online 24-hour tour of evironmental work in seas across the planet on World Oceans Day, June 8.
THE Musée Nausicaä will be holding a special online event touring oceans of the world on Monday, June 8 to celebrate World Oceans Day.
The 24 hours in the Ocean tour, which can be watched on www.nausicaa.fr/direct will show viewers the positive initiatives and action being carried out across the world to protect the planet.
Head of communications at the museum Ingrid Picquart said: “Starting with the west coast of the United States and ending with Polynesia, we will cover ‘24 hours in the day of the ocean’, revealing the great beauty and wealth of the oceans through the testimonials of men and women who actively contribute to their sustainability.”
It will feature members of the World Ocean Network in Indonesia, Senegal, Madagascar, California and Polynesia, and, taking advantage of the different times zones, will track 24 hours of initiatives across the world.
The Boulogne based museum will also be holding special events on the day, including the chance for visitors to watch the birth of baby fish.
