World-best rosé not sold in France but...
A Provençal rosé costing just £5.99 has been named second best in the world at the International Wine Challenge – but it is not sold in France.

Produced by Julian Faulkner at Cournoules in Var, the Côtes de Provence Exquisite cuvée 2016 was made especially for Aldi supermarkets in the UK.
Aldi boss Tony Baines said they liked to offer “exceptional produce at a reasonable price”.
For disappointed French buyers, the vineyard suggests its Jules Rosé 2016 which is sold at faulknerwine.com for €7.50 a bottle or from the domaine.
