Flight delay app can make claims

Air travellers hit by delays on EU flights in the past six years can avoid the work of claiming compensation by using a new smartphone app that shows if a payment is possible and then makes any claim due.
Called AirFair, the iOS and Android app lets users check flight numbers or booking reference before starting a claim.
It can even allow stranded passengers near-instant satisfaction by allowing them to start a claim even while waiting to board a long-delayed plane.
Compensation can give €250 for delays of more than three hours on trips of less than 1,500km and €400 for 3hr+ delays on 1,500-3,500km trips.
Working on a no-win, no-fee basis, claims management firm Allay will take 36% of any compensation. However, some airlines offer easy ways to claim compensation, even offering online forms for details.
