New app makes it easier to pay childminders in France
Urssaf has launched an app where details of holidays and overtime can be added, and which will automatically calculate salaries and declarations
A new mobile app promises to make life easier for parents who employ a childminder.
Urssaf, which collects social security contributions, launched the Mon Pajemploi au quotidien app in September.
It allows employers or employees to add details of overtime hours, paid holiday and other absences to a calendar which can be consulted by either party.
Relevant declarations and salary information are then calculated automatically based on this information, meaning at the end of each month all you need to do is double-check everything is correct and then confirm the declaration.
The app also allows those who look after several children from different families to switch easily between their various contracts.
The service applies only to assistantes maternelles (childminders) employed on a permanent CDI contract, who usually work the same hours each week.
An assistante maternelle looks after the child in their own home and must be certified by the departmental council.
With a garde d’enfants à domicile system, not covered by the app, the employee comes to the family’s home to look after the child and does not need to be certified.
The free app can be used to manage contracts signed from June this year. It also generates the documents necessary to bring a contract to an end.
