Are you covered for legal fees?

Two-thirds of people in France have a legal expenses insurance policy

TWO THIRDS of people in France have a legal expenses insurance policy, but most of do not know it, according to a report by radio station France Info.

Protection juridique policies are often included with ones for home or car insurance, but holders often do not know it unless they read their policy documents carefully.

This insurance pays for legal expenses, for example if you have a dispute with a workman over work done on your home, or with a garage over work done on your car.

It may also cover you in a neighbour dispute.
