COMEDIAN Guillaume Gallienne, the voice of Paddington Bear in the new film out on December 3, has revealed he had the cuddly toy as a child.
Gallienne told Yahoo! he adored the bear and had been read the stories in English as a child.
He said he enjoyed the dubbing work because “It’s incredibly well-paid and takes very little time.”
“There’s nothing complicated about voice overs,” he told the interviewer.
The actor had previously lent his voice to reading French classics on the radio including Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du mal and Proust’s Sodome et Gomorrhe .
He has also appeared in the most recent Asterix film, which took the heroes to Britain.
When asked what was most English about him, he said it was his sense of humour.
Paddington is released in France on December 3.
