Helpguide saved €500 - thank you

THANK you so much for your article on taxe d’habitation and the exemption for retired people who are on a low income.

Following your information, I approached our local tax office and was informed that we were exempt from this local tax, saving us more than €500 a year.

An unexpected bonus was that they also sent us a cheque for the two previous years.

As you can imagine, we were so pleased to receive this little bonus, as we are all suffering in the present time.

We had never before been made aware of the situation, by the offices or other retired Britons.

We can only say thank you. We love the newspaper and now scan it for more useful information. Well done, keep up the good work.
