No say on circus ban for maires
Re: circuses using live wild animals being banned by certain towns ( June issue).
Having recently tried in Callac, the mairie informed me that although several maires throughout France had done so, the circus organisers had taken the matter to the tribunal and the court had upheld their complaint, taking away the maires right to impose a ban.
Is this democracy at work?
