Popular French Netflix series Lupin will continue with the second part of the first series on June 11, the company has revealed.

Inspired by the Arsène Lupin novels of Maurice Leblanc, about a charming ‘gentleman burglar’, Lupin broke records of popularity for a French series on the streaming service after an initial five episodes were released on January 8.

At the end of January it was revealed that a second part would be released ‘in the summer’ – the date has now been firmed up with an enigmatic tweet by Netflix France which subtly pointed to the date by the choice of the post’s timing – 11:06 yesterday.

The company teased fans by stating: “If you are asking yourself ‘when’, then you saw but did not look. Otherwise wait for the trailer tomorrow. »

The trailer for the second part should be viewable later today at Netflix France’s YouTube channel or on its Twitter account.

The indirect way of indicating the date is becoming a tradition for the series; last time the announcement included the statement about a ‘summer 2021’ launch with jumbled up letters and numbers.

On the same date Omar Sy stated that the date had already been hidden on his own Twitter account banner heading; you had to deliberately click on it to enlarge it to see the date.
