New fees introduced for doctor visits
Visiting a doctor will be more expensive for some patients from November 1

Two new fees are being introduced: €46 for “complex” cases and €60 for those seen as “very complex”.
The new tariffs are designed to take into account the extra time that doctors have to spend dealing with some health issues, Le Figaro has reported.
Complex consultations would include those for people suffering from Parkinson's disease or gestational diabetes, infant health check ups, first contraception consultations for young women, and children at recognised risk of obesity, Le Figaro said.
Very complex cases could include premature babies or those born with birth defects, patients preparing for transplants or cancer diagnoses.
The usual health insurance reimbursement rules will apply.
