Several houses and business premises in France’s Lorraine region are set to be auctioned off with bids starting at €10,000.

The properties have entered the market at such a low price as a result of repossessions or compulsory liquidation, and are being sold through auction house Avoventes.fr

Some of the properties are located around the Épinal area (Vosges).

One of the houses, located to the north east of the town in Luvigny, has five bedrooms, two reception rooms, adjoining land and outbuildings including a garage. It will however also require extensive renovations.

The auction for this property will take place on February 4.

There is also an old dry-cleaner’s shop situated in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle), for which bids will begin at €18,000 at 14:00 today (January 13). This price could be reduced to €12,000 or even €6,000 if necessary.

In Anglement (Vosges), there is a four-bedroom house and garden that is also on the market for a minimum bid of €10,000, with the auction scheduled for February 4.

Finally, in Housseras (Vosges), a two-bedroom, partly renovated house also carries a minimum bid price of €10,000, and is set to be sold on January 18.

Before buying a property at auction, it is advisable to visit it and engage the services of a lawyer, who can represent you during the bidding process.

You will need to be able to present various identity documents and a deposit totalling around 10% of the minimum bid.
