France lockdown: Can we exercise as a couple or family?

Reader question: Are a husband and wife able to exercise together or walk the dog together within 1km of their home?

Yes.

Many French reports claim you can only jog alone, but an operator for the official Covid-19 hotline in France stated differently.

The operator told The Connexion that a couple or a family group living in the same home are permitted to exercise - including jogging - together, as long as they maintain strict social distancing rules from other people and remain within the one-hour, 1km limits.

You must have an attestation dérogatoire de déplacement with all names and dates of birth clearly marked, and tick the box that begins: "Déplacements brefs, dans la limite d'une heure quotidienne et dans un rayon maximal d'un kilomètre autour du domicile".
