Florent Pagny is a much-loved French singer, whose lung cancer diagnosis in 2022 caused shockwaves among France’s music-loving public.
Now in remission after battling the illness, he returns with Grandeur Nature, his 22nd studio album inspired by love, nature, and life. He says he also has enough songs recorded to release another album.
Pagny says his voice is sounding great since giving up smokingCapitol Records
In a recent interview on TF1, the 63-year-old said one of the positive effects of his recovery is that he has regained the vocal power he had at age 40. He attributes the improvement to stopping smoking.
Among his best-known hits are N’importe quoi, Savoir aimer and Ma Liberté de penser – all of which went to number one, while younger fans know him from his role as a coach on TV talent show The Voice.
Fans can see him live next year, when he embarks on a major tour, ‘Le Retour’ (The Return). Concerts will take the form of residencies in several cities, including Nancy, Rouen, Aix-en-Provence, and Toulouse. He will then perform 20 concerts at the legendary Paris venue, Olympia.
