€1 flights sale at Charles de Gaulle
Flights from €1 are going on auction at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport - to destinations including New York and Tahiti
HUNDREDS of air tickets are going up for sale at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport - with prices from as low as €1 to fly to New York or Madrid.
The airport is selling 300 tickets by auction on June 20 at Terminal 3. Some are for immediate departure to destinations including Los Angeles, London and Barcelona.
Best value tickets are a €200 deal for return business-class tickets to Tahiti; they would normally cost €15,000.
Elsewhere, the offer includes €20 flights to Mykonos in the Greek islands but other deals include Kos, Palermo, India, Thailand and Mexico.
The sale is in aid of the Reves - Dream - foundation for sick children being promoted by Vanessa Paradis. All proceeds will go to Reves.
Five airlines have signed up to the deal - Air Tahiti Nui, EasyJet, SAS, Sri Lankan Airlines and XL Airways France - and it comes just a few weeks after the French government offered cheap holidays to the Caribbean from €489 a week.
