€12m lost French loto ticket ‘reward’
A woman who found a €163million jackpot-winning Euromillions ticket in a French street has accepted a €12million reward from its owner.
The woman claimed the prize in 2011 but the purchaser, who had bought the ticket in Calvados, was able to prove his claim to the winning ticket at the same time.
The €12million solution to the impasse was agreed after being proposed by French lottery watchdog the FDJ.
