€132m won on Euromillions
A resident of Seine-et-Marne has 60 days to claim what is the fifth biggest-ever prize in the lottery
A RESIDENT of Seine-et-Marne has won €132million in the Euromillions lottery.
La Française des Jeux, which runs the lottery in France, has confirmed the win – which has yet to be claimed and which represents the third largest jackpot won in France and the fifth largest prize in the game.
The largest wins in France were €169million and €162million, in 2012 and 2011.
The marketing director of FDJ Cécile Lagé said the French appear to be especially lucky – more than a quarter of big winning tickets (78) having been bought in France, including three out of the five biggest wins.
The winner has 60 days to claim the prize.
