Irish flag carrier Aer Lingus is to reopen two flights connecting Brittany and Dublin this summer following success last year.

Services from the Irish capital to both Brest (Finistère) and Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), the region’s two major airports, will operate on Saturdays between May 30 to August 29. Tickets start at around €160 one-way (€340 for a round-trip).

The flights will be operated by Emerald Airlines on behalf of the Aer Lingus regional branch of the company, which flies to destinations in Ireland, the UK, other British Isles, and western France.

“We are delighted to be welcoming back our summer services from Dublin to both Rennes and Brest. These routes proved popular with customers last year and offer a convenient gateway to Brittany, allowing passengers to explore its vibrant culture, coastline and cuisine,” said Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines Ian Lough.

The main branch of Aer Lingus recently announced the return of its Dublin-Montpellier route after five years’ absence.

Rennes airport has recently expanded its infrastructure to welcome passengers subject to EES requirements.

Low-cost carrier easyJet offers a number of flights to the growing airport.
