Another EasyJet strike next week
French cabin crew plan to disrupt flights on December 31 and January 1
EASYJET cabin crew in France have called a second 48-hour strike that will affect travel plans around the New Year.
The walkout will take place on December 31 and January 1 after negotiations between unions and management broke down.
Their first strike ended last night and saw 38 French flights cancelled. EasyJet brought in British cabin crew to keep some services running.
French staff are calling for more efficient scheduling of their shift patterns and a bigger share in company profits.
EasyJet says its staff in France are "among the best paid in the industry" and employees have had inflating-beating pay rises since 2008.
More details about the disruption to flights on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day will be known early next week.
Passengers can cancel their flight and get a full refund - or change their flight dates at no extra cost.
