Are 'abbatements' being phased out?
In 2006 I had an Abattement spécial de 10 % in 2005 it was 10% with a further 20%. Are they being phased out?
On the 2006 Impot sur les Revenus, ( No 1534) I had an Abattement spécial de 10 % deducted from my gross revenues which then gave me my Revenu Brut Global from which my tax was calculated.
On the 2005 Impot sur les Revenus the abatement was 10% and a further 20% after the 10% had been deducted.
I am assuming that the 20% deduction was phased out last year under a more simplified method.
Is the single 10% now also being phased out? (There is no mention of these Abattements in your article).
Your comments would be appreciated.
JA
The 10% abattement is being retained. The other, as you say, was phased out due to the revamping of the tax bands and rates.
