Bad drivers named and shamed on web
Angry motorists use “name and shame” website to vent anger at drivers who behave badly
DRIVERS who park or drive badly now face having themselves ‘named and shamed’ on social media thanks to a website dedicated to giving offending motorists a telling off.
Photos of cars caught parking in spaces reserved for the disabled and a cycling lane have been posted up on digital platforms such as Twitter by the website garecommeunemerde.fr, which literally translated means “parked like a sh*t”.
Another photo showing a car parked across two spaces has the caption “I have truly parked my car like a sh*t.”
Dozens of similar messages and photos have been springing up on the website, as incensed members of the public use the site to vent their anger at inconsiderate motorists.
The website’s self-professed mission is “to relieve thousands of frustrated motorists of the psychological suffering they endure every day”.
“We have decided to have a word about all those little incidents in daily life that drive us up the wall,” added the website. “Cars badly parked, slow drivers on the left side of the motorway, cyclists who ignore the highway code… We are there with you, faced with these situations that deteriorate our quality of life.”
