Bayeux Tapestry to head to the UK
A mission to maintain good relations despite Brexit
France is to lend the Bayeux Tapestry to the UK in a bid to reinforce links as Brexit starts.
The tapestry marks the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and will be loaned during renovation work at its museum but “not before 2020” the Elysée Palace said.
