Beckham's puppet already on screen
Spitting Image puppet brought in to launch spoof advert for breathalysers
JUST days after joining Paris St Germain and before even playing his first game, footballer David Beckham has his own Spitting Image puppet on the cult TV show Les Guignols.
Playing on his global advertising image of being able to sell anything, the satirical Canal+ programme had "him" doing the big sell for a new government publicity campaign for breathalysers...
The Beckham puppet said that "before getting behind the wheel of my Aston Martin I blow into a breathalyser; slowly... very slowly" and showed fans desperate to buy one of the suddenly in-demand kits.
Last week Beckham took part in his first training session with his teammates at Camp des Loges.
PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti said that it was too early at the moment for Beckham to start his first match but he had his eye on him for the upcoming crunch Marseille match.
"He needs to do a bit more work. With another week's training he will be fit to play our next match, against Marseille."
