A French collector has bought a Mirage V fighter plane for €102,000 including delivery during a sale at the Paris auction house Artcurial.
The jet fighter was expected to go for €30,000, but after 10 people started bidding on the phone, the price quickly went up.
First brought into service in 1971, this Mirage V has flown 2,769 hours and landed 2,566 times.
It was sold as part of an auction sale of some 600 aeronautical objects which reached the total sum of €584,634.
