Brexit and the pension freeze
I have written to Sir Roger Gale about the ‘reciprocity’ aspect of freezing pensions and have since then seen the Brexit committee hearing on the concerns of British citizens living in the EU.
I was interested in Peter Lilley’s assertion that it was a ‘misplaced fear’ that the British Government would decide to freeze the pensions of British pensioners in the UK after the UK leaves the EU. It is totally ridiculous there being any freezing of increases to pensions as
all British pensioners have paid their contributions while working.
