Caen port strike: ferries rerouted
Services between Portsmouth and Caen are being diverted to Le Havre today because of a strike by port workers in Caen
FERRY services between Portsmouth and Caen are cancelled today because of a strike by port workers.
The walkout means the passenger and cargo terminal at Ouistreham is closed all day.
A Brittany Ferries spokesman told The Connexion that its services were being rerouted to Le Havre.
Customers with a reservation should be contacted by the firm, as crossing times are likely to have changed.
Passengers in doubt should check before they travel and allow extra time for their journey.
For more information, call Brittany Ferries on 08 25 828 828 (from France) or 0871 244 0744 (from the UK).
A port spokeswoman said it was not yet clear how long the strike would last.
