Cat call to end mouse problem at Elysée Palace

The Macrons have a dog - a black labrador-griffon cross named Nemo who came from an SPA refuge - but one MEP has argued that the Elysée Palace needs more cats.

Aurore Bergé, a spokesperson for LREM and owner of two rescued felines, said that cats could help control the mouse population at the Palace, the official home of the French President.

She added that the National Assembly could also benefit from its own division of mouser cats. "Some of us are calling for cats because there are far too many mice in the Assembly," she said.
