Chefs cook up dinner for charity
Dîners de Chefs initiative in nine French restaurants on December 3 aims to raise €100,000 for Restos du Coeur
EIGHTY-five top French chefs are putting on a series of fundraising dinners on December 3 to raise money for the Restos du Coeur's winter campaign.
The Dîners de Chefs initiative, in nine French restaurants, aims to raise at least €100,000 for the charity, after last year's edition brought together 66 chefs and made €68,000.
The chefs will work together to create a menu at €90, drinks included, with all the proceeds going straight to the Restos du Coeur.
The participating restaurants accepting bookings now include the Domaine de la Corniche in Rolleboise (Yvelines), Les Pins Penchés in Toulon and Maison Sukaldari in Arcangues (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).
Fundraising dinners will also be held in Bordeaux, Beaune, Pont-de-l'Isère (Drôme), Menthon-Saint-Bernard (Haute-Savoie), Opio (Alpes-Maritimes) and the Atelier Claude Monet in Rouen. See the full details here.
Among the chefs taking part is Dominique Lory, the three-Michelin-starred head chef at the Alain Ducasse restaurant in the Hôtel de Paris in Monaco.
