Christmas ferry crossings to UK
Connexion has researched the cost of travel on each of the cross-Channel ferry links this Christmas.
FARES for Christmas travel vary enormously depending on the route and the firm, with online booking, joining a frequent travellers’ scheme and paying in sterling being the ways to cut prices.
Connexion researched prices for all the cross-Channel links in September. They are return fares for two people, two children and a car getting to the UK on Dec 23-24 (depending on availability) and a return on Dec 30-31.
The choice of routes depends on both your location in France and your destination in the United Kingdom, but if you are willing to travel further afield than your nearest port, the road toll from Calais to Le Havre is €14.50 and from Cherbourg to Le Havre is €9.30.
