Dead man found at TF1 exec’s flat
The head of TF1 International is arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after apparent overdose death at his flat.
A senior executive at TF1, France's biggest private TV broadcaster, has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a corpse was discovered in his apartment.
Patrick Binet, who heads TF1 International, is also being investigated for alleged violation of French narcotics laws, as the deceased - a 40-year-old civil servant at the culture ministry - may have suffered an overdose.
Cocaine and GHB were also found in the apartment.
Binet was taken into custody on Thursday after the discovery of the body of a man who apparently spent the previous evening with him in his apartment in the Marais district of Paris.
A third man, in his 30s, who also spend the evening with the two, was questioned but later released without charge.
