Drunk thought dinghy was ’dying'
Police spotted man trying to resuscitate deflated rubber boat
POLICE arrested a drunk they found inside a Brittany boat-building yard.. because he was trying to give heart massage to a rubber dinghy.
The man had been spotted on his knees beside a boat in the yard in Vannes. When police approached he said he was trying to bring the “man” back to life.
He had been giving the deflated dinghy cardiac massage but had called the pompiers when he was having no success.
He told police that the man “isn’t moving, doesn’t reply and must be saved”.
Police had been on patrol in the Brittany town’s nearby club district early in the morning when they spotted the 22 year old Good Samaritan.
Realising that he needed help more than the dinghy they took him into custody where he was examined by a doctor before being put in a cell to sober up.
