Extension plan for Nice airport terminal
A plan to extend Nice airport’s Terminal 2 by 35% to receive an extra four million passengers a year is “coherent”, the government has said.
Airport bosses want to receive 18 million visitors by 2022, up from 14 million now, by adding an extra 25,000m2 , including a new check-in hall and six new departure gates.
Campaigners say the plan is bad for the environment, especially as most passengers are dropped off by car. A public inquiry has been held in advance of a final decision.
