Film furniture and furnishings go on sale

Supplier sells off warehouse with sets from Léon and the fur bedspread naked Mireille Darc lay on in €10million auction

Fans of French film can grab a piece of the original action with a sale today and for the rest of the week of furniture and furnishings used in classic films and TV shows.

Whether it is the yellow kitchen cupboards from Luc Besson’s Léon with Jean Reno and Natalie Portman or the fur bed-covering that Mireille Darc lay on in The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe (Le Grand Blond avec une chaussure noire)… they are on sale in Aubervilliers at Millon auctioneers.

In all, there are nearly 60,000 objects in the sale of the stock from theatrical suppliers Locatema. They range from silver cutlery sets, to crockery, to paintings and furniture… and enough straw chairs to supply a town’s brasseries for a year.

Millon estimate that the sales price for this Aladdin’s Cave at 45, avenue des Négociants, Aubervilliers is about €10million based only on the real and not historic value of the items.
