THE FIRST snow of winter is expected to land on the Jura on Thursday as a cold snap arrives in France.
Hills in the Vosges, Jura, Auvergne and Savoie above 1,000m could be for a dusting, although the ski resort are not yet open.
Storms are also predicted for the Côte d'Azur and Corsica on Thursday and in Languedoc-Rousillon on Friday.
Météo France said average maximum temperatures north of the Seine would be 11 degrees, and 15 degrees to the south.
