France still No23 in corruption league
Score out of 180 in total
France has been rated No23 out of 180 in the world corruption ranking, keeping the same high place as last year. The UK rose to eighth place.
Transparency International, which rates countries from 0 (corrupt) to 100 (laudable) gave France a score of 70 but said the country only reacted against corruption when there was a scandal and its response was not usually satisfactory.
