The free travel is intended to make it easier for motorcyclists to attend the 24 Heures Motos motorbikes race, said the motorway operator, ALiS, in a press release on April 11.
The Le Mans motorbike race is taking place at the Bugatti circuit at the Circuit des 24 Heures, just south of Le Mans, in Sarthe (Pays de la Loire), from April 17-20.
Two rest areas - ‘Relais Motards’ - are also planned for bikers in both directions, to facilitate their journeys.
Dentelle d'Alençon, junction 18: Friday April 18, from 07.30 to 20:00, and on Saturday April 19, from 07.30 to 13:00.
Domaine d'Harcourt services, exit 13: Sunday April 20, from 08:00 to 20:00.
“Both rest areas have fuel stations and are accessible from the secondary road network,” said ALiS in its statement.
