The products, under the brand name La Laitière “nature sucré sur lit de pêches” (“non-flavoured sugar [flavour] on a bed of peaches”), manufactured by the partnership Lactalis Nestlé Produits Frais, are being recalled, after a statement from the company said they “were at risk of the presence of pieces of glass”.

If you bought these yoghurts after September 30 this year, check their use-by date - those affected will show a date of October 26.

They will also have the barcode 302 329 000 7471, and be stamped with the code “FR 53 054 005 CE”.

“Anyone who has bought these, should not eat them, but throw them away instead,” said a statement from Lactalis Nestlé Produits Frais.

Anyone who has eaten the products without any problems so far is likely to be safe, but the recall is just an extra precaution against future issues.

No other types of yoghurts from the same brand or otherwise are known to be affected, the company said.
